The Design Phase of the UT Works program is kicking off in November with preliminary design sessions with “The Core Design Team,” representatives from Facilities Planning and Management (FPM), Enterprise Business IT Solutions (eBITS), Utilities and Energy Management (UEM), Technology Resources (TRecs), and Business Financial Services (BFS). The Core Design Team will be responsible for making configuration and process decisions with the goal of a “one business process for one business need,” a core tenant of the UT Works program. The Core Design Team was selected by the UT Program Oversight Committee. Learn more about the UT Works Governance structure.

These first Design Sessions will take place from November 3 through December 6 and will be the first of several planned Design Sessions that will help determine how the UT Works program improves upon business processes and leverages the functionality of the technical system that will support capital projects, work management, facilities assets management, warehouse inventory management, location inventory management, and cost tracking.

“The Core Design Team will play a critical role in the success of UT Works, and those attending and providing their insight and feedback will work closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure the program is making the most informed decisions,” said Heather Hanna, eBITS executive director and member of the UT Works Program Oversight Committee.
