At 4 p.m. on October 31, 2024, both FAMIS and WORQS will go offline. This marks the end of an era (Happy Retirement FAMIS and WORQS!) and the beginning of the transition to UT Works.
Over the following five days, teams from the UT Works Program and each unit transitioning to UT Works will work together to copy and validate data from FAMIS and WORQS into UT Works. This process will help ensure that the new system is up to date-and ready to go when we begin using UT Works on November 5.
The mission of supporting the University will continue during the transition. With WORQS offline, campus customers will know to contact the Facilities Service Center (FSC) directly to have critical issues addressed during the interim.
Internally, each unit transitioning to UT Works will have specific processes in place to allow work to continue. Look for additional communications with details specific to your unit and job from your managers and leadership within your unit. If you have questions or need information about how work will be assigned and tracked during the transition period, speak to your manager or supervisor.
On Monday, November 4, the program and unit leadership will make the final determination that UT Works is ready to go live. When this happens, the UT Works Program and each unit transitioning will begin sending out go-live announcements to ensure everyone is ready to begin using UT Works on November 5.
Look for communications from your managers and unit leadership announcing go-live and how to begin using UT Works. Note that the nature of email means that not everyone will receive the go-live announcement at the exact same time, so on the morning of November 5, if you’re unsure whether UT Works is live or not, contact your manager or supervisor for confirmation.
