Updated Phase 1 Timeline Supports Fall 2024 Goal
With the approval of Executive Sponsor Jim Davis (SVP/COO), the UT Works Program recently released an updated Phase 1 Timeline. The updated timeline includes input from the leadership of units involved in the program and endorses the shared goal for campus to begin using UT Works in the Fall of 2024.
UT Works Program Phase 1 Fall Update
UT Works Program Phase 1 Fall Update shares the latest news for each module included in Phase 1, including Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM), and ReADY (Request Forms).
Change Management Training Supports a Successful Transition
The UT Works Program partnered with Axiom Learning Solutions to offer Change Management Workshops. The training aims to prepare managers, supervisors, and informal leaders to help their team members successfully navigate the transition to UT Works within their units. Change management is a key part of supporting employees as they transition from how they do their jobs today to how they will in the future using UT Works.
Benefits of UT Works
UT Works will not only replace FAMIS and WORQS, both of which have reached their end of life and need to be replaced but will also bring process improvements and other benefits as the system transforms the way we support the University. The new Phase 1 Benefits webpage lists benefits we expect those who interact with UT Works to experience in key areas for the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM) modules. To learn more, visit the Phase 1 Benefits webpage.
Looking Ahead
Look for the following activities to occur over the next 3-4 months.
- Complete building the O&M module.
- Begin unit testing of the O&M module.
- Complete building the CPPM module.
- Continue the design and prototyping process for the ReADY request forms.
